  • Size: The NKP S-2 Class "Berkshire" locomotives were 100 feet long and 16 feet tall. 
  • History: The Nickel Plate Road acquired 80 S-2 Class "Berkshire" locomotives. 
  • Preservation: Some preserved examples of the NKP S-2 Class "Berkshire" include: 
    • No. 765: Operated by the Fort Wayne Railroad Historical Society 
    • No. 759: On display at Steamtown in Scranton, Pennsylvania
